"Checklist for Researcher Visa"
National visa application form. Each applicant must complete and sign a visa application, filling in each of its sections.
Photograph. A recent, passport-size, colour photograph, taken against a light background, facing forward, without dark or reflective glasses, or any garments concealing the oval of the face: Recent color white background photographs (not more than 6 months ) 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm

Valid, unexpired passport. Original and a photocopy of the page or pages of the passport that contain biometric data. The passport must have a minimum validity period of 4 months and contain two blank pages. Passports issued more than 10 years ago will not be accepted.
Residence permit. Original and a copy of the permit issued by the Large Companies and Strategic Groups Unit. This document is issued by the competent Authority in Spain and without it the application cannot be accepted.
Copy of the research agreement/contract stamped and signed by parties concern. Office.
Valid resident permit/visa (only for non-Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar or Laos citizens)
Certificate of Criminal Record (only in the case of persons over 18 years of age)

DEPENDANTS:
Spouse: Marriage certificate or civil partnership certificate.
Children: Birth certificate. In the case of minors travelling with only one parent, consent letter or documents proving sole custody.

The decision period for processing the visa is typically one month from the date of application submission. However, this period may be extended if additional documents or interviews are required.
The Embassy may request additional documents or data, and applicants may be called for a personal interview if necessary.
Once a favorable decision is made, the applicant or their legal representative must collect the visa within one month. Visa refusals will be provided in writing, with grounds for refusal stated.
Applicants have the right to appeal visa refusals within one month of receiving notification. Appeals can be submitted to the Embassy or filed for judicial review with the High Court of Justice in Madrid within two months.
